ReviewR limitations
Known limitations in the current version:
- some complex javascript might interact incorrectly with the review snapshot. To avoid this in later ReviewR versions possibly javascript will be disabled in the review snapshot.
- Flash movies appear above the browser layer. This is (partly) because of a limitation in the current version of Adobe AIR. A possible workaround will be implemented, but again this will take extra development work because of other limitations in the current AIR version.
- Some CSS might appear slightly different - note that the rendering is very similar to that of the Apple Safari browser - this differs from how sites look in IE and Firefox.
Future versions
Possible features planned for version 1.0 or later:
- providing workarounds for the above mentioned limitations.
- improved usability and design (better feedback of what's happening, different presentation, etc... )
- capturing Flash states (allowing detailed commenting on Flash sites)
- more detailed overview: comments list, contacts list,…
- printing reports
- create a webbased spin-off using the same data, without the need to download a separate AIR app (will have slightly different interface because of browser environment limitations)
- and more… (suggestions?)
Agencies, designers and architects, etc are invited to give feedback and are welcome to participate in the ReviewR project. Send any comments to .
